Physio-Control Pediatric Redipak Defibrillator Electrodes Pads
The Infant/Child Reduced Energy Electrode Pads are smaller than adult defibrillation electrode pads. The electrode pads reduce the energy dose that is delivered to the patient by a factor of four. If the AED is set up to deliver a dosage of 200, 300, 360J using adult defibrillation electrode pads, the dose will be approximately 50, 75, 86J with the Infant/Child Reduced Energy Electrode Pads. When connected to a Physio-Control Lifepak defibrillator, the unit automatically recognises the electrodes and adjusts the energy shock level to suit.
These Lifepak electrodes are specifically designed for pediatric use and are compatible with the Physio-Control (Medtronic) Lifepak 500 and 1000, as well as the Lifepak CR Plus Semi and Fully automatic AED. With a shelf-life of 2 years, you can trust in their quality and longevity.
QmedAED recommends always keeping an extra set of Child/Infant pads on hand to ensure you are prepared for a sudden cardiac arrest, especially if your initial set has already been used.

How to change your LIFEPAK 500 AED Pads
To change the electrode pads for your Physio Control LIFPAK 500 AED:
- Turn off the AED, disconnect and dispose of the used pads, and unpack the new electrode pads carefully.
- Plug the cable connector of the new pads securely into the AED, ensuring the cable is untangled and accessible.
- Confirm the device recognizes the new pads by briefly turning it on, then store the AED with the connected pads, ready for use.
