The HeartStart HS1 AED Adult SMART Pads Cartridge (M5071A) is suitable for cardiac arrest victims weighing 25 kg (55 lbs) or more. SMART Pads provide feedback to the AED, allowing it to adjust voice instructions based on your actions and pace. Their compact design makes them convenient to store within the carry case, while enabling rapid deployment when needed.
These pads have a 2-year shelf life. The pads work seamlessly with the OnSite AED, guiding users with clear, step-by-step voice prompts, and providing real-time feedback to ensure proper placement and effective shock delivery when needed.. How to change your HeartStart Onsite AED Pads
To change the electrode pads for your Philips HeartStart OnSite HS1 AED:
- Slide the release latch at the top of the AED to the right to release it from the AED unit.
- Remove the wrapper from the new cartridge and place the bottom of the cartridge into the bottom of the cartridge compartment on the front of the AED.
- Press the top of the cartridge down so it snaps into place.
